Puppyeyz Canine Card (“Puppyeyz”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Free To Live Ltd. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what choices you have.
What We Collect
- Account details — your email address and a securely hashed password.
- Household details (optional) — your name, contact details, home address, access notes (e.g. where a key is kept), and any other information you choose to add about your household, such as hearing or mobility needs. This can include health-related details, so only add what you are comfortable sharing. It is private to you unless you choose to share it.
- Dog profile details — whatever you tell us about your dog: name, breed, sex, feeding, walks, medication, allergies, key medical information, behaviour, vet details, vaccination status, emergency contact, grooming preferences, and an optional photo.
- Voice or text you provide when building a card is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to be structured into the fields above. We don't keep the original recording or raw text beyond what ends up saved in your card.
- Technical data — session cookies that keep you logged in, and standard server logs (e.g. IP address) kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability.
- Visits to our website (puppyeyz.co.uk) — we count visits and clicks through to the app with GoatCounter, a cookie-free service, and with our own counter, which keeps only a total per day. Neither uses cookies or keeps anything that identifies you.
How We Use It
- To provide the service: building, editing, and displaying your dogs' cards.
- To send you account-related emails (e.g. password reset links).
- To let you control exactly what's shared, and with whom, via the sharing features described below.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Sharing Your Dog's Information
Puppyeyz is built around you choosing what to share:
- Nothing is shared until you generate a share link.
- Household details (contact, address, access notes, other information) are private by default — you turn on sharing for each one individually.
- Allergies, key medical information, vet details, and emergency contact each have their own sharing toggle, so you can leave sensitive details off a card meant for one type of carer while including them for another.
- A share link works without the recipient needing an account. Anyone with the link (or who scans the QR code) can view whatever you've chosen to include. You can optionally protect a link with an access code.
- You can stop sharing, change what's included, or delete a card at any time.
Who We Share Data With
We use a small number of service providers (sub-processors) to run Puppyeyz:
- Anthropic — processes the voice/text you provide to structure it into your card.
- Supabase — hosts our database and stores dog photos (EU-based hosting).
- Netlify — hosts the application and our website.
- Resend — sends transactional emails (e.g. password resets).
- GoatCounter — counts visits to our website without cookies.
These providers only process data on our instructions, to provide the service. We don't share your data with anyone else, except whoever you choose to share a card's link with — that's your decision, not ours.
Sharing With Professionals (Walkers, Sitters, Groomers)
- Professionals can create a Puppyeyz Pro account (we hold their business name, type of service, email and an invite link). Owners can connect to a professional by opening that invite link.
- You choose, one professional at a time. For each professional you pick which dogs and which details they can see, and you can add a note for them alone. Nothing is shared until you save your choices, and nothing you leave unticked is sent to them.
- What a professional sees updates when you update your card, and you can change your choices or remove their access at any time, in one tap. Removing one professional does not affect any other.
- Once you share details with a professional, they are responsible for how they use and keep anything they take from them (for example information they write into their own records). They use it as their own business, not on behalf of Puppyeyz. Removing their access stops them seeing your details on Puppyeyz, but cannot undo anything they have already copied or noted down; ask them directly if you want it deleted.
- Professionals' own notes about their clients (where we offer them) are theirs and are never shown to the owner or to other professionals through Puppyeyz.
How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and data deleted, contact us at the email below.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to how it's processed. To exercise any of these, contact us at hello@puppyeyz.co.uk.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies needed to keep you logged in and to protect access-code-protected share links. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and the website counters described above use none.
Security
Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing. Share links use unguessable, randomly generated addresses, with an optional PIN-style access code for extra protection.
Children
Puppyeyz is for adults only: you must be 18 or over to create an account. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us their details, email hello@puppyeyz.co.uk and we'll delete them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the date at the top when we do.
